Techniques, Palettes, and Comparisons
Pros & Cons: NMM vs TMM

- Skill Expression: Highly valued in painting competitions.
Cons of NMM
- Execution Time: Glazing takes significantly longer.
- Angle Lock: Highlights are static and don't "move."
- Steep Curve: Requires deep understanding of light theory.

LEVEL 3: Expert Chromatic Depth
To achieve "saturated" gold, you must introduce secondary hues to the shadows and midtones.
- Shadow: Glaze Magenta into the Brown.
- Mid: Introduce Skrag Brown for a warm glow.
- Specular: Pure White at the sharpest points.
Pro Tip: Use a warm Khaki on the bottom edges of panels to simulate "bounce light" from the ground. This makes the gold look truly 3D.
